Yamaha B-6 Power Protection

Hi

I hope it is ok that I write in English, my German writing skills are very low.

I have the YAMAHA b-6 Power Amprefier, that I bought back in 1983.

Recently it has started to take a very long time to turn on. (Power Protection stays on)

The Power Protection stays on for about 1.5-2 minutes, normaly it would turn off after 3-4 sec.

And sometimes the Power Protection  switches on and off very fast 8-10 times with some clicking sound/noise, before it turns off.

When the Protection finally turns off, the Yamaha B-6 works/plays fine.

The Power Protection never turns on by playing music no matter how high the volume is.

Hi Torben,

i did not know your electronical skills however, if you dares, look for cracks around the solderpads of the whole power source.
2nd: see the capacitor in the protectiontiming unit, better change.
